It is a minority unaided ICSE, co-educational school from classes 1 to 10 Std.
Where is the school located?
It is located at Sydney point, overlooking the Krishna Dam valley with a picturesque view of Table land and Harrison’s Folly
How big is the school campus?
The campus is spread over 2˝ acres. It comprises of a main school building, staff accommodations, hostel, dining facilities, kitchen, outdoor and indoor auditorium, outdoor playground, fruit – vegetable – flower botanical gardens and of course our celebrated Rhode Island hens, geese, parrot and racer pigeons.
Can I find out how my child is doing in school? What are their grades?
Always! Teachers check in regularly on the web-site to update parents about your child’s progress and to let you know if there are any concerns. Parents can directly e-mail the principal or telephone the school office during working hours (09:00 – 12:00 & 13:00 – 16:00). There are 3 term assessments in the year and 2 mid-term assessments. Written reports are posted / mailed to parents every term.
How is the security of the campus?
The principal is responsible for the security of the campus at all times. There are CCTV Cameras installed in the campus. At 7pm all the 3 main gates and main doors are locked. The warden / administrator assist the principal in securing the campus.
When can I contact my child?
During the academic week students are not permitted telephone calls. Parents can speak to their children every last Saturday between 9:00 to 18:00 hrs and on the child’s birthdays.
When can I meet my child?
On the exeat weekend, which is usually the last weekend of every month.
Are outings & excursions organised by the school? Who is responsible for them?
Yes, the school organises several off-campus outings and excursions for the children appropriate to their age groups. A few well loved by our students are Horse riding, Go-karting, Camping & visiting places of interest in and around Panchgani / Mahableshwar. The school does also organise educational tours of India for students as well. Students are escorted by staff of the school.
What sports does the school have?
There are indoor and outdoor sport activities. They are supervised by staff as part of the daily routine. Early morning walks / Jogging encourage healthy rising habits in all our children. Students in the monsoon play indoor games like Table tennis, Badminton, Chess, Carom. In the winter students play Cricket, Volley ball, Throw ball. In the summer students play football and go swimming. Co-curricular activities are music-guitar, dance, dramatics, elocution, debates, quizzes and hobby classes - gardening & cooking.
Does the school allow students to bring electronics such as mobile phones, cameras, video games, watches onto the campus?
Mobile phones, cameras, video games are strictly Not permitted on the campus. Senior school students of class 9 &10 may wear watches.
Can students bring any personal toys from home?
Yes, children are allowed to bring cycles, Uno cards, board games, marbles, Kites, one favourite soft toy & family photographs to school.
Does the school admit students of all faiths?
Students of all faiths are welcome.
Does the school take donations?
No, however charitable contributions towards school development and up gradation of school facilities are welcome. CODESH is a charitable trust, being an unaided school that is permitted to accept contributions in cash or kind on one’s free will. Receipts are always issued and exemptions from income tax under section 80G may be availed.
What does the school do if a student falls ill?
We take them at Bel Air Hospital and parents are informed immediately.
